1. Intelligence: From “machine replacing manpower” to “data-driven decision-making”
If automation in the past liberated workers' hands, then this year's intelligence is giving machines "brains" and "neural networks."
“Unmanned fleet” has become standard: Almost every leading company, such as XCMG, Sany, Zoomlion, etc., has demonstrated its mature unmanned solutions. It is no longer a demonstration of a single unmanned equipment, but a collaborative operation formation composed of excavators, loaders, and road rollers. Through 5G technology and cloud dispatching systems, these devices can complete the entire construction process autonomously, accurately and efficiently on complex construction sites like well-trained soldiers. The on-site simulated smart mine and smart port scenes make people feel like they are on the future construction site.
Deep integration of digital twins: Many exhibition booths have huge digital screens that display real-time operating data from thousands of devices around the world. Through digital twin technology, managers can monitor the health status, work efficiency and energy consumption of physical equipment in the virtual world to achieve predictive maintenance and optimal resource allocation. This marks a fundamental shift in the industry from “selling products” to “selling services” and “selling solutions”.
AI vision and control innovation: Operators no longer rely on sophisticated experience. In the new generation cockpit, the AR (augmented reality) head-up display system projects key information and work paths on the windshield; the AI camera can automatically identify working conditions, avoid risks, and even assist in completing high-precision actions, greatly reducing the operating threshold and labor intensity.
2. Greening: The wave of electrification is sweeping, and new energy routes are blooming.
The "double carbon" goal has been internalized from policy guidance into the core development driving force of enterprises. At this exhibition, electrified products are no longer embellishments, but the absolute protagonists.
A full range of electrified products is launched: from micro electric excavators to giant electric mining trucks, covering almost all construction machinery categories. Battery technology has made significant progress, and battery life and charging efficiency (especially fast charging and battery swapping technology) have become the focus of competition among various companies. The roaring diesel engines could hardly be heard at the exhibition site. Instead, the equipment was running smoothly and quietly, which was a shock in itself.
Hydrogen energy is emerging: In addition to pure electricity, hydrogen fuel cells have also become a new direction for some companies to explore. Especially in large-scale, heavy-loaded equipment that requires long-term continuous operation, hydrogen energy has demonstrated its potential as the "ultimate solution" with its advantages of fast energy replenishment and zero emissions. This indicates that future energy routes will be diversified.
Life cycle green management: Green concepts run through the entire product life cycle. From the use of environmentally friendly materials and modular design in the research and development stage, to zero emissions in the use stage, to efficient disassembly and reuse in the recycling stage, the company is building a complete green industry chain.
3. Internationalization and localization: Chinese brands go global with confidence
As the "No. 1 Exhibition in China", the international nature of the Canton Fair is fully reflected in this exhibition area. There is an endless stream of buyers from all over the world. They no longer only focus on price, but also delve into technical details, service network and customization capabilities.
Products fit the global market: We can see that high-standard, intelligent products targeting the high-end markets in Europe and the United States are on display simultaneously with cost-effective and highly adaptable products targeting countries along the “Belt and Road”. Chinese manufacturers already have the ability to deeply understand and meet the needs of different regional markets.
Highlighted brand value: Booth design, brand storytelling, and comprehensive after-sales support solutions all show that Chinese construction machinery brands are working hard to enhance their global brand image and transform from "Made in China" to "Intelligent Manufacturing in China" and "Service in China".
